Two apartments, one shared origin.

The project concerns the redesign of an entire floor—previously used for commercial purposes—with the aim of creating two independent apartments for two siblings within the urban fabric of Athens. The architectural proposal is based on the idea of duality: two homes that share the same spatial origin yet develop as distinct and autonomous entities.

The original floor plan is reorganized to accommodate two apartments. The concept of duality is translated into an architectural composition through a clear geometric organization and the repetition of common materials and details, allowing the two residences to form a cohesive architectural whole. Although functionally independent, the apartments maintain a subtle relationship with one another, reflecting their shared origin through a unified design language.

In this way, the original floor is transformed into two parallel homes, where the balance between autonomy and continuity becomes the project’s primary design principle.
