Module

MODULE is a project for the construction of a new high-specification residential building in the center of Athens.

Through the concept of unity and repetition, each residence functions as an independent module- a small unit of living that integrates into a larger whole.

The architectural approach is grounded in the human scale, while simultaneously seeking collectiveness through the coexistence of multiple smaller parts.

The facade is conceived as a layered system of claustra and smaller architectural elements , forming a filter between the private and the public realm. Light and shadow become active design components, continuously transforming the perception of materiality and transparency.

The core design principle is the inclusion of open spaces for every dwelling unit. Outdoor and semi-outdoor areas act as extensions of the living space , enhancing the relationship with the exterior environment and offering flexibility and quality in day life.
